A hairdryer has been jailed for ten years after pleading guilty to sexually exploiting a 10-year-old girl.
Bardwell Park, in the south-west of Melbourne, pleaded guilty to two counts of sexually abusing the girl in 2016.
She had told her mother she had been taking her to a hairdromes on the weekends and asked her to bring a towel.
The court heard the girl was “proud” of her new hairstyle and said she liked to “go topless and strip down”.
Bardexwell Park District Council was fined $8,000 for the offending, but the offender was given credit for any money she had received from her business.
Magistrate Mark Burdon sentenced the offender to 12 months and ordered her to complete 300 hours of community service.
