‘Dangerous’ to use ‘theft’ as an excuse for illegal hair cuts

It’s the latest in a long line of cases of illegal hair-cutting by hairdressing salons.

In January, a former stylist in Georgia was arrested after police said he stole about $500 worth of hair from his salon.

Another woman in New York pleaded guilty in June to stealing hair from a salon that was part of a criminal enterprise.

In September, a stylist was arrested for stealing hair in California and pleaded guilty to theft.

A man in Texas was arrested in August after police say he stole more than $5,000 worth of hairs from his hairdresses salon.

Hair stylists are allowed to make as much as $60,000 a year, which is more than a full-time job.

In some cases, hair stylists have gone to jail and others have had their licenses suspended, while some have been fired.
